JO COCKBURN
Jo is an Investment Director at Ethos Partners. He joined Ethos in January 2019 following four years in investment banking and private equity.
Jo began his career in Perella Weinberg Partners’ M&A practice in London, where he spent three years advising corporate and private equity clients on a range of corporate finance transactions. In an effort to get ‘closer to the entrepreneur’, Jo then joined One Peak Partners as an Investment Associate responsible for sourcing and executing growth equity investments in rapidly scaling technology businesses across Europe. He has also consulted to venture stage businesses in the consumer and fintech industries.
Jo holds an MA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
Having grown up near the sea in Cape Town, Jo is a passionate outdoor sportsman, with a particular love for spearfishing and surfing. He is also passionate about Italian language and culture, and recently spent four months with his wife, Nina, studying the language in rural Umbria.
