Established in 2017, Ethos Partners is a private investment office focused investing in small private businesses and individuals with potential. We are a collaborative team of experienced investors and entrepreneurs dedicated to nurturing the growth of SMEs by investing our own funds alongside capital from our investor network of experienced, high-net-worth individuals.

Our principals, Brian Phillips and Julian Carr, are experienced, entrepreneurial investment professionals. They have consistently delivered strong returns over 25 years, investing in over 35 deals each at leading PE houses, Bridgepoint, Hg Capital, Legal & General Ventures, Lloyds Development Capital and Greenhill Partners.

Our Results

We are deliberately low volume, performing a handful of transactions we believe in each year. This considered approach demonstrates our commitment to finding the right opportunities for our investors rather than hedging our bets on deal quantity. We are motivated by capital gains at exit over assets under management or fee income and have completed two exits with an average 2.6x net return for our investors.
