Effisus provides premium weatherproofing solutions for buildings through two business lines: Facades and Sealing Solutions

Background

The business was founded in 2005 in Porto, Portugal. They now have offices in Dubai and London. Facades include the technical design and supply of membranes and accessories used in ventilated facades. A ventilated facade is a system that includes a ventilated airspace between cladding and a weatherproof membrane, providing both thermal insulation and moisture management and allowing the building to “breathe”.

Ventilated facades are the most energy efficient and sustainable weatherproofing option and are crucial to maximising a building’s useful life and protecting it from fire. Sealing Solutions prevent issues related to water infiltrations by using durable membranes and tapes to seal perforations, joints and gutters.

Ethos has backed incoming Co-CEO’s, Miguel Freire and Pablo Alvarez, principals of Search fund Viriato Capital. Miguel was previously in private equity with Miura and investment banking with JP Morgan and UBS. Pablo was previously an associate partner at McKinsey in London focused on value creation and growth for private equity portfolio companies.
