SANDY FARMER
Sandy is an Investment Partner at Ethos Partners. He joined Julian and Brian in June 2017 following nine years in private equity investing, entrepreneurship and strategy consulting.
He first scratched a lifelong entrepreneurial itch in 2013 when he co-founded a private equity-backed dental business, The Dental Partnership, where he was Finance Director.
He commenced his private equity career in 2011 with Canter Equity Partners, where he focused on growth buyout and buy and build investments to support UK-headquartered technology and business services companies. Immediately prior to joining Ethos, Sandy spent three years as Strategy and M&A Director of the Redeem Group where he was responsible for leading Redeem’s strategic function and international M&A activities. Other previous roles include two years as a strategy consultant with A.T. Kearney consulting across multiple sectors in the UK and continental Europe.
Sandy holds an MBA, with a concentration in Private Equity, from London Business School and a LLB (dual Hons in Law and Economics) from the University of Edinburgh.
He is passionate about the outdoors, sport and reading. A never quite good enough rugby player and golfer, he is now a social sportsman and avid fly-fisher. He likes to try his hand at a couple of new pursuits each year; currently CrossFit and the piano. He is married to Nadine and kept on his toes by their two working cocker spaniels and his baby daughter.
